SUMMARY:Information Literacy 3: reflection on and improvement of search strategy
DESCRIPTION:Improve your search strategy\nThis crash workshop focuses on 
 improving your search strategy (from Module 2)\, which elements do not 
 belong in your bibliography. Not only will you learn to assess and reflect 
 on your own research process\, but you will also be able to take 
 accountability and communicate about your research process. This advanced 
 course is designed for people who already have experience setting up a 
 research and search strategy but want to expand their skills. If you are 
 unfamiliar with setting up a search strategy\, consider taking module 2 
 first. \nThis workshop is suitable for all those who need to write an 
 academic paper\, either as a refresher or a deepening.\n\nYou will learn 
 to:\n\n\n	select\, assess and evaluate sources based on your information 
 needs\;\n	critically examine your set-up\, the results and where it can be 
 improved\;\n	adjust your strategy to get better\, more relevant 
 results\;\n	assess the credibility of information using indicator times 
 cited by others\;\n	cite sources correctly and explain related problems and 
 risks\;\n	explain the importance of copyright and its main rules\;\n	adapt 
 your communication strategy to the message and target 
 audience\n\n\nWorkshop requirements\nYou must send me (r.e.vermunt@vu.nl) 
 your search strategy (from Module 2\, or your own search strategy) in 
 advance: containing search question\, key concepts\, keywords\, search 
 strings\, database of choice and number of hits. The course participants 
 give each other feedback. Then you get some handles for improvement apply 
 those.\n\n\nCertificate\nDo you want to earn an Edubadge (online 
 certificate)? In order to obtain this edubadge\, the participant is 
 required to fully and actively participate in modules 2 and 3. In 
 addition\, all homework assignments must have been completed\n\n\n\n
