SUMMARY:Open Access week event: A Diamond Future of Open Access Publishing
DESCRIPTION:\n\nCommunity over Commercialization\n\nOpen Access Week
2023\n\nOpen Access Week 2023 is an opportunity to join together\, take
action\, and raise awareness around the importance of community control of
knowledge sharing systems.\n\nAre you curious how to publish your work
open\, free\, and equitable? Diamond Open Access is publishing open without
cost for reader or author. In this panel session we will talk with three
Diamond OA initiatives about the importance of community over
commercialization. Is OA publishing without asking high article fees really
possible and sustainable? And if so\, what are the bumps in the road for
journals that choose this equitable model? Why should you as a researcher
choose Diamond Open Access?\n\nJoin us October 26th 12:00-13:30. Free lunch
will be provided!\n\nOpen Access Initiatives\n\nMathOA\n\nMathOA promotes
and supports initiatives concerning Open Access publications in the field
of mathematics in the broadest sense. The foundation supports editorial
boards in their negotiations to switch an existing journal to an Open
Access model or to create a new journal.\n\nComputational Communication
 Research\n\nComputational Communication Research (CCR) is a peer-reviewed\,
(diamond) open-access\, community-owned journal founded from the ICA
Computational Methods Division and published by Amsterdam University Press.
CCR publishes articles that further the understanding\, development and
application of computational methods in communication
 research.\n\nPedagogische Studiën\n\nPedagogische Studiën is the
scientific peer-reviewed (diamond) open access journal of the Dutch
Educational Research Association (VOR) and Flemish Educational Research
Forum (VFO) and aims to make educational and pedagogical research conducted
